The yoga classes at Sanctuary are formatted especially for beginners and those that prefer a gentle style. If you’ve never done yoga before, you can do these classes, we promise!

Brenda teaches a therapeutic style, designed to correct postural problems, relieve chronic tension and unwind stress from the mind and body. The gentle program is also very effective at rehabilitating injuries.
If you’re ready to experience deep relaxation, while getting rid of all your aches and pains, these classes are for you!

For those of you familiar with yoga, Brenda blends the styles of Iyengar, Feldinkris, Kripaulu, and Somatic Movement Therapy for a gentle, relaxing and soothing experience.

These are completely customized lessons designed to cater to your yoga goals. Private and Semi private lessons are perfect for people that have never done yoga before and are too intimidated to try it out in a class format. It’s also a good option for yoga practitioners that want to learn new material to change up their already existing practice. Mommy and Me Yoga

This is a great class to learn yoga, or reintroduce yourself to yoga in a baby friendly environment. Co-Ed Arthritis Chair Yoga Program

Beginning September 5th

Co-ed Arthritis Chair Yoga Program is a specialized program to teach you how to stretch your entire body in a safe and gentle way while restoring range of motion and decreasing pain. It is a 10 week program , once a week for an hour. It’s very gentle, yet very effective. No previous yoga experience required. Suitable for persons with Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, MS and most other pain syndromes. Even if you’re just stiff and sore and want to try a gentle yoga program, this is for you. You’ll be amazed at how effectively you can stretch your entire body on a chair.

Studio Class Etiquette and General Information

We ask all newcomers to please arrive at least 10 minutes early to fill out a brief health form and get properly acquainted with our studio, its procedures and its instructors. Everyone appreciates it when classes are started on time and uninterrupted. Latecomers will not be permitted into the class.

Everyone attending classes must sign-in at the reception area before they participate. This is for safety reasons and must be adhered to.

Everyone must let the instructors know of any injuries, pregnancy, recent surgeries, or any health conditions. If you have any doubt as to whether you should participate, please seek permission from your physician beforehand.

There is no need to register for classes in advance. All classes are ongoing and drop-in.

Please turn off all cell phones, pda’s, and pagers while in the studio.
